I N T R O D U C I N G

Imagine New Mexico is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of New Mexicans by incentivizing other non-profits to work together to strengthen healthcare, education & our economy and to reduce poverty & crime.
What is Imagine New Mexico?
Imagine New Mexico (“INM”) is an organization which is implementing an innovative model to incentivize nonprofits to work collaboratively to make transformative improvements in the lives of New Mexicans in five key areas:
- Healthcare–our first focus area
- Education
- Poverty
- Crime
- The economy
We will select several nonprofits that are actively pursuing meaningful improvements in each area and challenge them to collaborate to achieve collective meaningful results in their respective focus areas. Organizations that achieve agreed-upon goals will be rewarded financially.
In order to accomplish this, we are working with a team at UNM Health Science Center’s Prevention Research Center (“the PRC”) to collect data and select indicators which the PRC is using to create a dashboard that we will publish periodically to show whether progress is being achieved.
This is a multi-year initiative which will measure and catalyze improvements. INM’s 501(c)(3)is being funded by grants from foundations, businesses, and others, without government support.
By collecting and making this data available to various stakeholders, we and our cooperating nonprofits will enable state government, other nonprofits, foundations, businesses and interested individuals to implement strategies which will make New Mexico a state more worthy of our citizens.
New Mexicans deserve better!
